How do I eliminate the “Memory Full” error in my Garmin GPS?

    in General Discussions

The older models of Garmin GPS generally come across a memory full problem while on the voyage. It signifies that you need a to fix the error and to get it back to work. The previous version of Garmin GPS models was built with less memory because it doesn’t need too much space for maps. But, now the scenario is different, with lots of geographical changes happening around, there is a need for an updated Garmin GPS so that it can handle the mammoth GPS maps. The solution is pretty simple, all you have to do is, connect your Garmin GPS to the computer (installed with the Garmin express). Ensure that your device is registered on the Garmin Express website and follow the instructions to install the latest updates. Once done, the problem should resolve.

    To resolve this issue:

Plug the watch into the computer using the supplied power/data cable

From the computer locate and open the GARMIN drive

Locate and select the Garmin folder

Locate the Temp folder and right-click on it

    Select Delete

Disconnect the watch from the computer

Reconnect the watch to the computer and use Garmin Express to update the software.

    Regards, Caleb
