Yes, it is very helpful though. I personally use new media to record each of my lectures and share them with students after each class. Not only can students benefit from lectures whenever they want through the easily downloaded audio file, but it also solves the problem of students who have difficulty watching live video due to poor internet connection. Other teachers use different methods depending on the needs of their course. Because I think do my assignment requires a lot of negotiation, I can't rely on pre-record my lecture. While others have largely adopted the lecture-based approach.
