Stormzy has donated £500,000 to fund educational scholarships for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Merky Foundation chose The Black Heart Foundation as the first beneficiary of a £10m pledge.
Stormzy announced in June that he would be giving money to support organisations, charities and movements involved in tackling racial inequality, justice reform and black empowerment in the UK.
The donation will cover cash grants for about 50 students, providing support to people of any age who need financial assistance to take part in any educational activity.
The Black Heart Foundation Each Day campaign was set up by US-born property developer Ric Lewis in response to the recent Black Lives Matter movement, with a goal to raise £500,000 to double the number of young people from under-resourced and under-represented communities it helps.
Recipients of the scholarship have previously used the money to cover living costs while at university rather than working while studying, to become a pilot, and to pay for drama school tuition fees.
The charity had been raising extra funds in response to the Black Lives Matter movement and had almost reached its £1m goal before the #Merky donation.
Mr Lewis said: "Their contribution is an amazing testament to their vision and commitment to higher and further education for ambitious, hard-working young people from the most under-resourced and under-represented communities in our society."
Black Heart Foundation is still striving to hit its original £500,000 crowdfunding target on Just Giving, and is matching donations given pound-for-pound.
