Trevor Noah shortlisted for a Grammy award alongside Ellen Degeneres and Dave Chapelle

Son of Patricia bags a nomination for Best Comedy Album

South African comedian and Daily Show host, Trevor Noah has been nominated for a Grammy for his album, Son of Patricia.

Trevor, who recently became the first South African to sell out New York’s iconic venue Madison Square Garden has been making headlines with his ‘Best Comedy Album’ nomination for ‘Son Of Patricia’. He has also been nominated for a Critics Choice Award, with the ceremony scheduled for 12 January 2020.

The nominations list came out yesterday and newcomers Lizzo and Billie Eilish received the most nominations.

Trevor Noah is nominated alongside Ellen DeGeneres, Jim Gaffigan, Aziz Ansari, and Dave Chapelle in the category.

Trevor tweeted: “Today I woke up to the news that I’ve been nominated for a Grammy Award!!! I’m so grateful.

The 62nd Grammy Awards will be held on 26 January and will once again be hosted by Alicia Keys.
